The yard gets a makeover!

Brett and I have lived in the condo together for 3 years and have never done anything with the yard. It was just dedicated to Cam as her bathroom.

Well, we thought it was time to be adults and have an outdoor living space. Yesterday Brett hired a day worker from Home Depot and he worked in the yard for a good 4 hours clearing brush, some ugly shrubs rocks and  leaves.  He dug out everything between the stone slabs and then put down soil and grass seed. It is going to be amazing when the grass actually grows.  Of course the week we plan to do this, it is the coldest it's been in weeks. We ordered a set of wicker furniture- 2 chairs, a couch and a low coffee table of sorts.  The 2 chairs came today.  The couch comes tomorrow. We are both really excited for this spring/summer!

I wish i took a before pic, but here is after

All the shrubs and gross things were taken out.  so much better! I can't wait to make it cute with huge potted plants, and perhaps a bird bath. Must choose what to make from Pinterest!
